It is the opinion of Gulf Coast Supply that the fasteners for residential drip edge can be
either screws through the panel, or nails prior to the installation of panels. If the installer would
prefer to tack the drip edge down temporarily that should be acceptable; provided the panel
fasteners will penetrate the drip edge as well as the panel, and the screw spacing must be no
further than 5" on center across the width of the panel. Materials installed in this manner will
meet the manufacturer's specifications and in no wise void the warranty.
