The photos taken on January 28, 2019, show the new dock cut back to the center of the seawall, resting on the seawall, and a new elevated paver deck installed above the seawall surface. We had a meeting in January 2019 with the new unit owner, building official (Gary Stepalavich), zoning tech (Lydia Galbraith), and myself (William Durden), to help direct the new unit owner of what would be required to comply with the current codes. We directed new unit owner that the new dock would need to be relocated to the seaward side of the seawall, because the seawall was common area and not owned by the unit owner. The new dock would need to be self-supporting on the seaward side. We also directed the new unit owner that the paver deck would need to finish flush with the surface of the seawall and not over top of the seawall. The owner applied for a new permit on October 25, 2019, with plans showing existing conditions not meeting the requirements specified above. Plan review comments were sent out on November 5, 2019.
