St•LucieCrnl LEAD MATERIALS ENGINEERMEGISTERED SPECIAL INSPECTOR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Mr. O'Connor is a registered (Florida) professional engineer with over 30 years of expertise in construction services and building inspection services. A senior associate for Tenacon, he has been in responsible charge of the West Palm Beach office and its state -of -the -practice specialty materials testing laboratory since 1994. On a day -today basis, Mr. O'Connor provides technical oversight and direction to engineering and technical staff. He is responsible.for managing designated laboratory and field verification activities relative to sampling, inspecting, field and laboratory testing of bituminous material, concrete, soils,. aggregate materials, water, steel, prestress concrete and precast concrete in accordance with applicable Florida Sampling and Tesfing Methods, AASHTO, and ASTM Standard Specifications. Mr. O'Connor has managed these activities on project sites as well as offsite locations including materials producers, batch plants, and fabrication plants, Mr. O'Connor is also responsible for all thresholdispecial inspection, private provider and building inspection projects. These services include: providing quality assurance (QA) to owners and contractors during construction on their projects ensuring construction meets local building code ,requirements. Serving as liaison between BuTding Officials, Contractors and Engineers of Record, he has successfully completed hundreds of threshold and special inspection projects. These projects consist of public facilities (schools, prisons and municipal buildings) and private structures (single and multi -family dwellings, high rise condominiums, retail stores, distribution center, and communication towers). PROJECT EXPERIENCE Fort Lauderdale -Hollywood International Airport (FLL) Terminal One In -line Baggage Handling System (BHS) — Broward County, Florida Seniorrrhreshold Engineer. An in -line BHS was constructed for Terminal One at FILL. The scope of the project consisted of integrating a new in -line BHS into the existing BHS at Terminal One. The new BHS was completed with new explosion detection system ("EDS") screening equipment, conveyors, and outbound make-up units. The firm provided quality assurance materials testing (QAMT) and structural steel inspections, coordinating with project team members to insure appropriate testing protocols, standards and frequencies were in accordance with the contract documents. FLL ACT Modernization — Broward County, Florida SeniorfThreshold Engineer. The firm provided construction materials testing and special Inspection services for the ACT Modemiroect at FLL that included the new radar Installation. on- top of the existing control tower and a new CMU building containing new radar equipment that exists at the bottom of the existing tower. The scope of work included concrete, soil density, and laboratory testing services.
