Mathers Engineering Corporation visited the job site and made the following observations of the
ongoing concrete restoration and repairs of exterior balconies:
Site Observations from 04/20/15 thru 05/29/15:
• Unit 220: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation. Observed column cracks at comer of unit which will be
addressed.
• Unit 320: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation. Observed column cracks at corner of unit which will be
addressed.
• Unit 420: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation.
• Unit 520: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation.
• Unit 620: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation
• Unit 720: The entire deck has been removed by chipping method. Existing reinforcing
steel left in place for evaluation

• Unit 220: Concrete Restoration of Unit 220 has been completed. Waterproofing and
reinstallation of guardrails has not yet been completed.
• Unit 320: Concrete Restoration of Unit 320 has been completed. Waterproofing and
reinstallation of guardrails has not yet been completed.
• Unit 420: Concrete Restoration of Unit 420 has been completed. Waterproofing and
reinstallation of guardrails has not yet been completed.
• Unit 520: New concrete deck has been poured. Existing reinforcing steel that was in
good condition was cleaned and coated and left in place. Additional new MMFX
reinforcing steel was installed. The deck repair required intrusion into the unit.
Miscellaneous column and beam repairs were done. Concrete Restoration of Unit 520 has
been completed. Waterproofing and reinstallation of guardrails has not yet been
completed.

good condition was cleaned and coated an left in place. Additional new MMFX
reinforcing steel was installed. The deck repair required intrusion into the unit.
Miscellaneous column and beam repairs were done. Concrete Restoration of Unit 220 has
been completed. Waterproofing and reinstallation of guardrails has not yet been
completed.
