El Mar Drive, Jensen Beach, FI.34957 Dear Mr. Peterson: Our office has reviewed the Laundry and A/C Door replacement for this building. These room are no -habitable rooms. We have determined the following: 1. The Laundry door is centered in east exterior wall of the building on the first floor. 2. The A/C door is centered in east exterior wall of the building on the second floor. 3. Both doors are 3'-0" wide x 6'-8" high with jalousie windows. 4. We have checked the wind pressures for these doors and each door has a wind pressure requirement of +71.8 psf and -78.1 psf. (see attached) 5. We have reviewed the Therma Tru Doors, Smooth Star approval under FL- 10537.1 Rl, dated February 27, 2012. These doors are impact resistant and exceed the wind pressures required. We have stamped them reviewed. 6. The doors will be installed with 1" bucks, therefore the fasteners shown on the Product testing sheets will be used. 7. Attached is a letter, dated January 7, 2015 from Fort Pierce Engineering, Inc. indicating that the replacement of the louvered jalousie door with a solid door, will not affect the performance of the mechanical equipment within this room.
