Please be advised that the balcony that is now accessible is a cantilever of the pre -cast concrete floor
system. It is designed to support in excess of the 60 PSF required by Florida Building Code 2004. In
addition the existing aluminum handrail system is 42" high with a maximum picket space of 4". The
existing handrail system is also in compliance with the code. .
The new window openings extend to the underside of the existing poured in place tie beam. No other
lintel or header is required.
