Dear St. Lucie County Permit Applicant,
Please see the attached plan review comments which have been generated for your permit. As soon as we receive the
modified plans and any additional required documentation back from the design professional, co ln�tractor or owner we
will perform the additional reviews as necessary in order to complete the plan review process. Once the plans have
been signed, by all applicable plan reviewers, we will move the permit forward either to the Fire Department or back to
permitting for permit issuance.

Please note that the walk in cooler is separated from the interior of the restaurant with an 8"
CMU wall with 1/2" gypsum board applied to %" PT furring strips 16" on center. The required

Please be advised that the walk-in cooler has always been indicated on plans submitted. Please
refer to Sht 2 equipment schedule, item #3 1. Revised plan submitted July 7 represents an as -
built of walk-in electrical requirements. The original load of 11000 watts shown on the original
load calculation is in excess of the actual connected load.
A 4" concrete slab with 6x6 10/10 WWF was poured over an existing concrete slab to bring the
floor of the walk-in cooler level with the existing interior. A 12" x 16" monolithic footing with
(2) #5 bars was poured at the edge of this new slab. Any exposed soil being poured over was
treated for termites. (Copy of certificate attached.) A 6 mil poly vapor barrier was also provided

Please note that the wall opening to the proposed walk-in cooler was detailed on previously
submitted plans. (Sht 1) This opening does not require a wind rated door, in that it is entering a
wind -rated cooler.
(3) sets of engineered plans and calculations for the cooler as well as (2) CDs are attached.
A 4" concrete slab was poured over existing slab to level cooler with existing interior. A 12" x
16" with (2) #5 bars was poured as a footing at edge of slab. A 6 mil poly vapor barrier and
termite treatment (certificate attached or previously provided) was applied to any exposed soil to

The purpose of our letter is to provide a written response to the project noted above. Fastener
requirements for the membrane roof per Kysor Installation Instructions to meet performance
requirements are listed below.
1. Use #14 Tek screws at the required 6" on center spacing at each tab.

2. The maximum required tributary width for tab spacing..is: Twidth Spacing -Uplift — 31in.
Therefore, use 28" tab spacing per instructions.
3. Use tapered insulation and roofing board per plan. This is accounted for in the miscellaneous
portion of the dead load.
