The Systems Building 3 is an independent structure. On -site withdrawal tests were performed at random locations to determine the average ultimate pullout value. The withdrawal tests achieved an average ultimate pullout value of 622.2 Ibs per fastener. The fastener patterns provided in the Engineering Letter titled 'Tropicana Fort Pierce - Systems Building 3" were determined using an average ultimate pullout value of 400 Ibs per fastener, with a margin of safety for uplift resistance equal to 2.0. The fastening patterns provided in the Engineering Letter were determined using Florida Product Approval (FPA) No. FL14083-R9, System SC-132, and do not exceed the force per fastener determined using the above stated FPA and tested pullout value. See Engineering Letter for additional information. After reviewing the fastener withdrawal test provided by OMG Roofing Products, Inc., it is our opinion the fastening patterns provided in the Engineering Letter are structurally adequate to resist the wind uplift pressures required when installed in accordance with the above stated FPA and Engineering Letter. The purpose of the visit was to visually observe the fastening patterns used to mechanically attach insulation and single -ply roofing membrane to an existing steel roof deck. Insulation Attachment Findings The single -ply membrane had been installed and access to the underside of the roof was not obtained during the site visit. Therefore, the insulation fasteners and plates were not visible at the time of inspection. As shown in photographs taken by Sutter Roofing during installation, 4'x8' insulation boards were preliminarily fastened to the steel roof deck with (6) fasteners and plates per board. This complies with the preliminary insulation attachment specified in the engineering letter. See photographs on page 3. Single -Ply Attachment Findings Access to the roof was not obtainable at time of inspection. As shown in photographs taken by Sutter Roofing during installation, the single -ply membrane was fastened with screws and plates in the sidelaps of the sheets. Sutter Roofing has stated that the single -ply membrane is Carlisle 60 mil Sure -Weld TPO, the sheets are 8'-0" wide in Zone 1 and 4'-0" wide in Zone 2 (where sheets are parallel to the roof), —and fasteners are Carlisle ue-rDUTran--auuiuonai_row=oc_rasteners_was_provioea mzine-cenrer_oT=messneer,.tnese=rasiening=patterns- _compiy_with_the _single-ply_attachment-patterns.specified_in_the_engineering_letter—See_photographs,on_page,3. Summary and Limitations Based on in progress photos, and the attached affidavit from the licensed contractor that performed the work ("As -Built Condition for Tropicana — Systems Building 3" by Sutter Roofing dated September 2, 2016) it is our opinion that the fastening patterns installed are structurally adequate to resist the design wind pressures. The scope of this investigation does not include analysis of the load carrying capacity of the existing structure, and the fastener patterns provided in this report are based on the materials and fasteners stated above, Tropicana Fort Pierce I Page 1 of 3 Systems Building 3Inspection ATLAS STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING, LLC 12610 World Plaza Lane, Suite 2 1 Fort Myers, Florida 33907 phone 239.274.6820 1 fox 239.274.68211 CA #28380 provided by Sutter Roofing at the time of this investigation.
