ThIq report gives the Sound Pressure Level Measurements obtained on two GRI Model 289-3
Dodr AleWPool Alarms. The units were selected and supplied by the client and received at the
lebdratories on March 6, 2001 and appeared to be in new, unused condition upon arrival.
Teiing deposit received from George Risk Industries.
'TEST METIi2D' .
Each test specimen was mounted on a 112 Inch thicK, 4 foot by 8 foot sheet of plywood. The
plywood with alarm was placed against a wall in a semi•anrcholc roorn. which has sound'
ablorbing walls and ceiling. The alarm was mounted 60 Inches above the floor -and the
mi Ierophone was placed 10 feet awgy directly in front. The sound pressure level was monitored
for!90 seconds after the alarm was activated.

The inspector -for ETL visited our plant this morning. Our
289-and 189 series pool alarms are now ETL listed. Control
Number is 3035022. Our pool alarms are listed on their site
as well.

The listing should now enable you to use our
pool alarms In Palm Beach County ... hopefully, you
still have prewired systems and all have not fallen
to fences and/or required you to "patch walls".
I can't thank you enough; you've been wonderful
throughout this whole ordeal.
Some visual changes:
0) the ETL listing will be printed on the face plate as attached.
ETL required it to be visible after mounting; therefore, could
not be on the back of the unit..... b) also, there will be a mesh
screen over the sounder hole rather than the molded
plastic grill.
Our production area should be building the ETL units by
the and of this.coming week (an educated guesstimate).
Subassemblies are ready.
