Joe Cicio To: Monica Graziani SCANNED Cc: Carl John Peterson; Joe Cicio (cicioj@stlucieco.org) BY Subject: Permit Number 1605-0047 St. Lucie County ,Good Morning Monica, I am sending you this e-mail as a response to Commissioner Mowery's questions regarding the Amazing Grace Church remodeling.. [ Change of Occupancy ] This permit had been initially applied for on May 3rd 2016. The first group of comments were e-mailed on May 17`h to the contractor and building owner. The revised plans were re -submitted on June 30', a second review completed and comments sent again on July 13" as there were un-addressed comments or incorrect plan information; generated by the engineer. The revised plans were re -submitted by the contractor just yesterday being Sept. 121h. This is a timeline of the review procedure as the plans must be checked by myself along with the electric, plumbing and mechanical reviewers each time they are submitted if comments remain un-addressed. Regarding the chairs being affixed to the floor this is an option, in this instance, taken by the engineer per FBC 1004.4 for fixed seating and aisles. Some design professionals use this in order to keep the occupant loads lower in order to take reduction in restroom fixtures, lavatories etc: This is an acceptable method of compliance allowed by the Florida Code as well as the Fire Codes. We do not make anyone do anything however we will explain the building code to owners, contractors and design professionals, if any questions arise, and still remain within its guidelines and allowances. I will hold on my third review as the plans will have to be revised again showing the increased occupant count if the fixed seating option is being removed..
