THE COVERED AREA HAS MANY OPEN SPACES AROUND IT. UNDER THE EXPOSURE CATEGORIES LISTED IN SECTION 1609.4.3 OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE THIS ENCLOSURE SHALL BE CALLED AN EXPOSURE'C'. ACCORDING TO THE COMPUTER PROGRAM "WINDSPEED BY LOCATION", A PRODUCT OF APPLIED TECHNOLOGY COUNCIL' THE DESIGN WIND LOAD REQUIREMENTS FOR A RISK CATEGORY I STRUCTURE IN THIS LOCATION IS DICTATED BY A WIND SPEED OF 146 MPH. TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLORIDA BUILDING CODE THE DESIGN PARAMETERS BEING USED HERE ARE 150 MPH WIND LOAD, EXPOSURE 'C', RISK CATEGORY I. THE PAN ROOF COVERED AREA IS 10'-6" IN THE FRONT AND 12'-0" IN THE BACK FACING THE DRIVING RANGE WITH A RUN OF 7'-9", WHICH GIVES THE A SLOPE OF ABOUT 2.3 INCHES PER FOOT. ALL SIDES WILL BE OPEN. THE NEW PAN ROOF COVER IS BEING ERECTED ON AN EXISTING NOMINAL 4" SLAB THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THIS EXISTING SLAB IS 16 FEET WIDE, WHICH GIVES 4 FEET IN FRONTAND 4 FEET ON THE BACK OF THE COVERED AREA. TOGETHER WITH # 5 REBARS, AS SHOWN ON SHEET 2. THIS FOUNDATION IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS PAN ROOF SCREEN ENCLOSURE. THE DESIGN DRAWING IS SHOWN ON SHEET 2. THE PAN ROOF CONNECTION DRAWING IS SHOWN ON SHEET 3. NOTE THAT THE PAN ROOF CONNECTIONS AND THE POLY ROOF CONNECTIONS ARE ESSENTIALLY THE SAME AND THEREFORE THE CONNECTIONS ON SHEET3 ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR USE FOR THIS PAN ROOF.
