Existing building's components and elements outside the renovation area of this permit do not have their current wind load resistant capacity or gravity load capacity compromised by the completed concrete restoration. Mathers Engineering Corporation performed onsite inspections and reports to the building department as the job progressed. Repairs required minor shoring. Work such as concrete repair and addition of steel reinforcement were inspected. The enclosed Record Drawings (Sheets 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) show the areas of restoration and repair, and are made part of this final close-out document approval under Permit Number 1607-0008. Results of the initial demolition will determine any required modifications to the above procedures and materials selected for the final restoration process. We have been authorized by the Association to work with the contractor during the restoration and, will inspect work partially completed as well as observe results of the new demolition prior to field authorizing the repairs to be completed. The proposed concrete restoration work, except as authorized by the engineer's modified instructions, will comply with specifications outlined in the IRCI Guideline No. 03730, as well as the applicable minimum building codes and the applicable fire safety standards as determined by the local authority in accordance with Chapter 553 and Chapter 633 of the Florida Statutes where applicable to concrete restoration.
