If that balance should not have been included the actual amount collected should be $46.5 million. It also appears that the County spent approximately 9.6 million dollars in impact fees on Kings/Indrio, Kings Widening and the Airport Connector during that same ime period. The City's consultants are questioning the "nexus" of the expenditures on these projects because of their location in relation to the City. Is it possible to determine how much of the $65 million was generated by new development in the City? If so, does the amount of impact fees generated by the unincorporated area and the City of Fort Pierce/St. Lucie Village exceed $9.6 million? Please Note: Florida has very broad public records laws.
