Dear Mr. Joe Cicio:
Enclosed you will find a copy of the manufactures specifications for a metal cable railing
system the owner wishes to install to replace the existing metal railings at the subject project.
The proposed system is the Feeney Design -Rail Horizontal Cablerail Infrll — Aluminum
Railing with stainless steel cables, Series 200. The drawings are labeled "Feeney Design -Rail
— Horizontal Cablerail Infrll" dated 11 /26/2014 and signed by Edward Robinson, P.E. and are
60 pages in length. The top rail for this system will be 42" above finish floor with post spacing
at 5' on center maximum. The 1/8" diameter cables are spaced 3" on center maximum and are
oriented horizontally between posts per the drawings. The anchors shall be (4) 3/8"x4"
concrete anchors with 3" minimum effective embedment at each post. A list of approved
anchors are on page 14 of the referenced drawings. The drawings also contain the complete
installation details and specifications. MBV Engineering has reviewed and approved the use
of this system to meet the following design loads for this project.

Internal Pressure Coefficient and Enclosure Classification:

Cf factor = 0.8
Loading: Live Load = 50 pounds per lineal feet (any direction)
Live Load = 200 pounds point load (any direction)
Above loads are non -concurrent
Wind Load = +/-63 pounds per square foot required capacity.
Railing Capacity = 123 pounds per square foot
