The delivered concrete Will be available at the specified slump range for 30 minutes after jobsite arrival,
or initial slump adjustment, whichever is later, as per ASTM C94-17 Standard Specification for Ready
Mixed Concrete, Section 7.2.
Please note that the concrete plastic properties, of slump and air content, are designed to be
measured from the truck chute, as Maschmeyer Concrete has no knowledge of the intended
placement equipment or expected job conditions at the time of the receiving a request for project mix
design submittals.
Maschmeyer has no knowledge or authority regarding where the mixes are to be placed. Therefore, it
is the responsibility of the project architect, engineer, and/or contractor to insure that the above
designed mix parameters of compressive strength, water -to -cement ratio, cement content and air
content are appropriate for the emironmental exposure and service conditions (.e. ACI-318 Chapter 4
Durability Requirements, and local Building Codes).
The cemenlitious content is stated as a minimum. Maschmeyer Concrete reserves the right to
increase the quantity, and to adjust the aggregate weights to maintain design volumes.
ACI 318-14, Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete, Section 26.12.1.1 e, and ASTM
C94-17, Standard Specification for Ready Mixed Concrete section 6.8, both specifically require that
the concrete producer/manufacturer be copied on all third party (independent laboratories) test
concrete reports delivered to the project, in a timely manner.
It is Maschmeyer policy to be placed on the concrete test report email distribution list, for ongoing
statistical analysis, to ensure product quality, and compliance with project specifications.
Actual admixture dosage rates may vary and are dependent upon ambient and concrete temperatures,
and weather conditions.
Plastic properties of concrete may vary depending on ambient temperatures, weather conditions,
placement procedures, and types of placement equipment used on the jobsite.
Water addition, in excess of the job site allowable water, will lower strength and is not recommended.
Maschmeyer Concrete is not responsible for any problems associated with excesshe water addition or
poor placement practices.
ACI 302.1 R-04, Guide for Concrete Floor and Slab Construction, ACI 224R-01 Control of Cracking in
Concrete Structures, and ACI 224.3R-95 Joints in Concrete Construction, proWe valuable information
for the concrete contractor and finisher, to help reduce the occurrence of random cracking in the
concrete structure.
Should the project specifications require air content for air entrained concrete to be tested at point of
placement, Maschmeyer Concrete reserves the right to make any necessary adjustments in the field,
as permitted and stated in ASTM C94-17 Standard Specification for Ready Mixed Concrete, Section
8.3.
Please inform the project concrete finisher of any mix designs containing air entrainment o%er 3%
requiring a smooth trowel finish, so proper finishing techniques are used to amid delamination of the
surface.
