Enclosed you will find a copy of the manufactures specifications for a metal cable railing system
the owner wishes to install to replace the existing metal railings at the subject project. The proposed
system is the Feeney Design -Rail Horizontal Cablerail Infill - Aluminum Railing with stainless
steel cables, Series 200. The drawings are labeled "Feeney Design -Rail - Horizontal Cablerail
Infill" dated November 26, 2014, and signed by Edward Robinson, P.E. and are 60 pages in length.
The top rail for this system will be 42" above finish floor with post spacing at 5' on center
maximum. The 1/8" diameter cables are spaced 3" on center maximum and are oriented
horizontally between posts per the drawings. The anchors shall be (4) 3/8"x4" concrete anchors
with 3" minimum effective embedment at each post. A list of approved anchors are on page 14 of
the referenced drawings. The drawings also contain the complete installation details and
specifications. MBV Engineering has reviewed and approved the use of this system to meet the
following design loads for this project.
