Further, based upon our review of the geotechnical engineering report prepared for the project by Nutting Engineers of Florida, Inc., it is our opinion that the soils beneath the proposed footings will support an allowable soil bearing pressure of 2,000 pounds per square foot and meet the 2014 5th Edition Florida Building Code section 1803.3.1 requirements. The test results pertain to the specific test locations. Interpretation of these tests results was accomplished in accordance with accepted standards of practice. While on site the following observations were made: 1. A plastic nut cap was missing at the south-east side of the tank approximately 8'-0" from grade. 2. The first plastic nut cap from grade was missing at the north side of the tank. The Contractor was on site during the inspection and was made aware of the two above mentioned deficiencies and their location. It is my understanding the missing caps have since been installed. As a Professional Registered Engineer of the State of Florida, to the best of my knowledge, information and belief, it is my professional opinion the new tank was installed in substantial accordance with the approved permitted shop drawings. It is recommended that a locking mechanism be installed on the ladder cage once the Owner takes possession of the tank.
