Lucie County Lod morning to all, I apologize for the disagreement regarding the site -build plans however it is not the equipment housing being specifically referred to, but that is a part of the complete pool renovation . The Florida Building Code -tion 107.1 for commercial use states that construction documents shall be prepared by a registered design )fessional either via 471 or 481. The building official has the authority to waive that submission as long as the review cuments do not have to obtain compliance with the code. In this case the swimming pool at Treasure Cove Dunes falls der the applicable code cites in FBC-section 454 and FAC 64E-9 . The permit package which had been submitted 07/10/2018 contained no plans for review with a exception of copies of surveys which do not designate the existing deck or the proposed paver deck locations. All ck and walk areas shall follow the guidelines in FBC 454.1.3 The plans would include all of this information including design from 454.1.2, 454.1.2.3, 4.1.2.4, 454.1.2.5 [ slip resistant surfaces ] and 454.1.6.5 for Recirculation and Treatment systems. PS I would much rather work with the DOH than the building departments. All of you in the DOH have always been aware of what is needed, prompt and helpful. I wish the rules to include the building departments never came in to play. The building department reviewers, tech, etc are completely unfamiliar with renovations and ALWAYS confuse them for new work.
