Hey Debra,
We are looking to submit our Temporary Electrical Permit application by the end of the week. I was wondering, roughly
how long does it take to turn the application around and have a permit in hand? I'm just trying to plan my trailer
mobilization accordingly.
Thank you,

Harrison,
Since the fence is not an over the counter permit, you will need to come in person. We are working on electronic
submittals, but we have a long way to go 1
Let me now if you have any other questions.

Hey Debra,
Thank you for resending that email as I hadn't received it. I will get working on the permits you have listed below. I
appreciated you taking the time to speak with your building official on these permits. You have been a tremendous
help!
Do you need me to bring these in in person, or can I simply email them or submit them online somehow?
Thank you,

Harrison,
Our email google system has been down. Many emails have not been delivered. I did have something to add: the
temp bulk storage of fuel need to contact DEP Dept of Health in W. Palm Beach in addition to Fire Dept.
1 am resending, hope this gets to you.
Happy Monday

Harrison,
I talked with the Building Official and you do not need a permit for the office trailers since they are for
construction workers.
You will need to get ar lectrica-Iper_mi`.
The temp Bulk Fuel storage, you need to contact DEP as well as fire, but don't need a permit from us.
You need to get a commercial,--., permit_
The burn permit— Division of Forestry.
I believe you have already worked on the other permits.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Have a great weekend,

Hey Debra,
This helped a lot. Thank you!
I have been able to round up some of the permits that we will need off of your website per your suggestions
below. However, I am still having trouble locating a couple. I have commented below, in Red, on each item. Do you
think you would be able to send me a PDF or a link to the document?
Thank you in advance,

The project you describe below appears to fall within an exemption in the Florida Building Code, 102.2 (f) those
structures or facilities of electric utilities, as defined in Section 366.02, FS, which are directly involved in the
transmission, generations or distribution of electricity.
No building permits are needed from us.

Subject: Construction Permits Required for Utility Scale Solar Generation Facility
Good afternoon Debra,
Black & Veatch has been awarded a contract to engineer, procure, and construct a utility -scale solar powered electric
generation facility for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) in St. Lucie County. The facility is known as the FPL
Loggerhead Solar Energy Center. As the principle contractor for the site, Black & Veatch would like to kindly request St.
Lucie County's assistance in determining what permits will be required for the construction of the abovementioned
Facility. -
I understand that the question is broad at this point, but high-level requirements would be a very helpful starting point
to determine site -specific permits Black & Veatch many need. Please feel free to contact me for any questions you may
have.
