Foundation Design
Existing concrete slab. No additional concrete footing or slab is required to resist the loads
imposed upon the existing slab by the proposed construction if the existing slab is a minimum
of 4" thick and in sound condition, free from structural cracking, spelling, or other
deterioration.

Specifications
The following specifications are applicable to this project
1. All work shall be in accordance with the 5th Edition (2014) Florida Building Code, and any
other applicable local codes and regulations.
2. Aluminum extrusions shall be 6005 T5 Alloy. Due to quality control issues, no manufacturer
substitution is acceptable without the specific written, signed and sealed authorization of
Smcoast Aluminum Engineering, LLC.
3. Screen Material: Design based on 18114 or 2020 Better View. Any other material must be
approved
4. Fasteners are required to be corrosion resistant, minimtm SAE Grade 2 or beta zinc plated to
ASTM B633, or staidess steel series'300".
5. All Self Mating Beam Sections are to be stitched with either914 screws 6" from ends and 24"
center to center or #12 screws 6" from ends and 12" carter to center.
6. Where concrete specifications are required, whether in the screen errlosure scope or not, by one
or mom regulatory agency, the following specifications are applicable:
a Concrete shall conform to ASTM C94 for the following componems:
i. Portland CementType 1,-AS7MC 150
iL Aggregates -Large Aggregate 3/4" max -ASTM C 33
RL Air containing +/-1%-ASTM C 260
iv.Water reducing agent -ASTM C494
v. Clem Potable water
vi. Other admixtures not permitted
b. Metal accessories shall conform to:
L Reinforcing Bars-ASTMA615,gmde60
a Welded wire fabric-ASTMA185
c. Concrete slump at discharge chute not less than 3"mature than 5". Wateraddedafter
hatching is not permitted
d. Prepare and place concrete per American Concrete Institute Manual of Standard Practice,
Parts 1, 2, and 3 including hot weather recommendations
e. Moist care or polyethylene curing permitted
f Priarm placing carriers, treat the entire subsurface area for termites in compliance with
the FBC.
g. Concrete shall be placed over a polyethylene vapor barrier.
It. All aluminum components embedded within concrete shall be coated with a bituminous
paimorepoxy.
7. All flashing and weatherproofing shall be provided by the contractor—

Specifications
The following specifications are applicable to this project
L All work shall be in accordance with the 5th Edition (2014) Florida Building Code, and any
other applicable local codes and regulations.
2. Aluminum extrusions shall be 6005 T5 Alloy. Due to quality control issues, no manufachuer
substitution is acceptable without the specific written, signed and sealed authorization of
Suncoast Aluminum Engineering, LLC.
3. Screen Material: Design based on 18/14 or 20/20 Better View. Any other material must be
approved.
4. Fasteners are required to be corrosion resistant, minimum SAE Grade 2 or better zinc plated to
ASTM B633, or stainless steel series "300".
5. All Self Mating Beam Sections are to be stitched with either 414 screws 6" from ends and 24"
center to center or #12 screws 6" from ends and 12" center to center.
6. Where concrete specifications are required, whether in the screen enclosure scope or not, by one
or more regulatory agency, the following specifications are applicable:
a Concrete shall conform to ASTM C94 for the following components:
i. Portland Cement Type 1,- ASTM C 150
R Aggregates - Large Aggregate 3/4" max - ASTM C 33
lit Air entraining+/- 1 % -ASTM C 260
iv.Water reducing agent -ASTM C 494
v. Clean Potable water
vi. Other admixtures not permitted
b. Metal accessories shall conform to:
i. Reinforcing Bars- ASTMA615, grade 60
R Welded wire fabric - ASTM A185
c. Concrete slump at discharge chute not less than 3" or mare than 5". Water added after
benching is not permitted
(I. Prepare and place concrete per American Concrete Institute Manual of Standard Practice,
Pans 1, 2, and 3 including hot weather recommendations.
e. Moist care or polyethylene curing permitted.
f. Prior to placing concrete, treat the entire subsurface area for termites in compliance with
the FBC.
g. Concrete shall be placed over a polyethylene vapor barrier.

paint or epoxy.

Specifications
The following specifications are applicable to this project
1. All work shall be in accordance with the 5th Edition (2014) Florida Building Code, and any
other applicable local codes and regulations.
2. Aluminum extrusions shall be 6005 T5 Alloy. Due to quality control issues, no manufacturer
substitution is acceptable without the specific written, signed and sealed authorization of
Suncoast Aluminum Engineering, LLC.
3. Screen Material: Design based on 18114 or 20/20 Better View. Any other material must be
approved
4. Fasteners am required to be corrosion resistant, minimum SAE Grade 2 or better zinc plated to
ASTM B633, or stainless steel series "300".
5. All Self Mating Beam Sections are to be stitched with either#14 screws 6" from ends and 24"
center to center or #12 screws 6" from ends and 12" center to center.
6. Whom concrete specifications are required whether in the screen enclosure scope or not, by one
or more regulatory agency, the following specifications are applicable:
n Concrete shall conform to ASTM C94 for the following components:
i. Portland Cement Type 1,- ASTM C 150
iL Aggregates- Large Aggregate 3/4" max-ASTM C 33
iii. Air enuodming+/-1 % -ASTM C 260
iv. Water reducing agent -ASTM C 494
v. Clean Potable water
vi. Other admixtures not permitted
b. Metal accessories shall conform to:
i. Reinforcing Bars- ASTM A615, grade 60
iL Welded wire fabric-ASTM A185
c. Concrete slump at discharge chute not less than 3" or more than 5". Water added after
hatching is not permitted
(I. Prepare and place concrete per American Concrete Institute Manual of Standard Practice,
Parts 1, 2, and 3 including hot weather recommendations.
e. Moist cue or polyethylene cuing permitted.
E Prior to placing concrete, treat the entire subsurface area for termites in compliance with
the FBC.
g. Concrete shall be placed over a polyethylene vapor barrier.
IL All aluminum components embedded within concrete shall be coaled with a bituminous
paintorepoxy.
7. All Bashing and weatherproofing shall be provided by the contractor.
