This suite has existing accordion type shutters. Using the ASCE7-10. The following parameters were used: Single vinyl sliding glass door height is less than 30 feet; Exposure D; Wind speed 170 mph; Enclosed Structure, wind zone 5; When taking into account the external and internal pressure coefficients and adjustments per the ASCE7-10, the resulting and governing applied wind pressure comes to +63.5 psf / -69.1 psf for Zone 5. With the fasteners spacing, edge distances and embedment and door installation completed per the respective NOA, the allowable loads of+80 psf & -114 psf for this door exceeds the applied loads in this application, and is acceptable to my office. It is recommended that all fasteners be of high quality stainless steel. If you have any questions, please Thank you, Raymond Chladny, B.arch.Sc., M.arch,- AIA, NCARB, LicA AR-0017475
