The purpose of the request is to allow a single family home on the property. The only permitted uses in the existing IX Zoning District are mining and mobile food vendors. The change in zoning would convert the parcel back to an agricultural zoning dis- trict which existed on the parcel prior to a 1989 change in zoning to IX. Mining has never occurred on the parcel or the adja- cent IX Zoned parcel.
