These wind pressures have been prepared in accordance with the Florida Building Code, 5th Ed. (2014). The allowable
pressures provided here (Way) are given as 0.6• W,y, where Wy, is the wind pressure calculated in accordance with Chapters
26 and 30 of ASCE 7.10 using the ultimate design wind speed (V,$) and the parameters given herein. Way as provided here
is an appropriate load for use when:
1) Evaluating tested products for components and cladding;
2) Designing mullions, framing, and other supporting stmctures using Allowable Stress Design;
3) Specifying fastener schedules using Allowable Stress Design.
The load combinations specified in Chapters 2.3 and 2.4 of ASCE 7-10 shall be applied. No farther reduction in allowable
stress shall be taken (other than load duration per Chapter 23 FBC).
