On behalf of our client, please find the attached response to comments received on September 15, 2017
for a project known as Liberty Tire Recycling. Each comment is identified below followed by a response
in bold Italics.
PLANS EXAMINER REVIEW COMMENTS
1. Engineer has calculated the wind loading to 140 MPH / Risk CAT 1 * This facility falls into
the 145 MPH mark line / Exposure C / Please correct the wind load sheets and the foundation
design calculations.
RESPONSE: Please see revised wind load sheets and foundation design calculations.
2. Engineer to design the required grounding between the foundation steel and the vertical structure
on plans.
RESPONSE: Please see revised plans.
3. Need the foundation risk letter submitted, signed by the contractor.
RESPONSE: Please see the foundation risk letter.

It appeared to the Engineer of Record (Ahmadreza Sedaghat) responsible for foundation design
of this project that the note appeared as " Compact Backfill to 95% proctor before pouring the
concrete foundation' is not required to be executed by the concrete contractor since there is no
backfill of any type may occur in this project.
