Mr. Massa
Per your request, a review of the information provided to me concerning the foundations has
been made on the above referenced project. The foundations consists of a 36" diameter
augured type filled with 3,000psi concrete supporting posts spaced at 20ft o.c. maximum. The
project is located within a 140 MPH wind zone (exposure B) and the maximum wall height is 6ft.
The approximate extent of the project is 900 ft of wall.
Upon review of the photographs it is apparent that the foundation has been excavated to a
minimum depth of 43". Engineering for the above conditions requires a minimum foundation
depth of 38.1 ". The reviewer should also note that the precast posts have been cast to the
length of the project which means that the precast posts are sized for the specified foundation
depth which forces field crews to embed these precast posts to the specified foundation depth
to achieve the top of wall elevation.
My own involvement with the engineering of Duratek's site wall system has giving me ability to
state that — given the above — the minimum 36" diameter x 43" deep foundation is structurally
adequate.

The Stormwater Permit Modification is hereby approved conditioned upon receipt of a SFWI�M ERP
modification.
Upon completion of the project and prior to requesting a Final Paving and Drainage Inspection, please submit
three (3) copies of signed and sealed record plans with a signed and sealed letter of completion from the project
engineer. The plans must depict at a minimum the location and finished grades of all buildings and paving,
critical spot elevations, pavement marldngs, traffic signage, the location, type, size, material and inverts of all
drainage structure improvements and the location of any stormwater management facilities.
Please be advised, operators of construction activities that propose to clear, excavate or fill 1.0 acre of laud or
more over the life of the project are required to obtain coverage under the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection's National Pollutant Discharge Elicaination System "Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge from
Large and Small Construction Activities" prior to any construction activity on site. A copy of the Notice of
Intent to file for coverage under this permit must be submitted to this office as required to discharge to the
County's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4). A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan must be
developed and implemented to be- in compliance with the permit. Elements of a SVYTPP include Best
Management Practices that will be utilized to minimize soil erosion and sedimentation from degrading the water
quality of downstream water bodies. For more information, please contact the FDEP NPDES Stornawater
Section.
