Unit 909 South Building
Additional work was required at Unit 909. This unit was not included in the permit package submittal,
additional documents for 909 will be provided for permit submittal.
Demolition was complete along the edges due to corroded reinforcing. New bars were added where
needed with the require lap splices. (5) post tension cables were affected that require locking off and
splicing.
Recommendations
Coat all bars with the specified corrosion inhibitor, there are some bars not coated.
Square cut all edges of the repaired areas to create a smooth finish
Provide the required PVC covers at all the steel post tension splice couplers and taped for moisture and
corrosion protection.
Move or shift all reinforcement that's located under the railing post fastener holes so the fastener can get
the proper embedment without conflicting with the reinforcing
One reinforcing bar had to be shortened that was too close to the form, this was done while we were on
site.
Provide plastic support chair on the reinforcing at the south corner for proper placement
