Or just do the fence inspection and they can plant whenever they are ready? This appears fine with me. There isn't anything that we require by Code, so this would be voluntary and they would be allowed to plant as they see fit. As you know, this plan was developed as an additional safety measure for the residents of Nettles Island. From time to time balls have rolled into the street and we felt this was the best way to provide some barrier for safety without blocking the view. Due to the fact that there is very little room between the fence and the sidewalk at the north east corner of the pickle ball court and the fact that they do not want to block the view from the road, chain link fencing was the best option available. However, to give it some visual interest and not have it appear as a jail compound, we have angled the two, ends of the fence away from the sidewalk and will add low lying shrubbery between the fence and the sidewalk. Plants material may be a variety hedge or small bushes, such as dwarf ixoras, dwarf boxwoods, green island ficus, or similar for color and depth, but not anything that will block the view from the street or the court. Our security frequently patrol from the road and we want them to be able to see the activity on the court. Please let me know if this will be acceptable to the county and if the permit can be issued with this modification.
