3. THE HOST STRUCTURE IS ASSUMED TO BE ADEQUATE TO WITHSTAND THE LOADS IMPOSED BY THIS DESIGN AS
WORK REPLACES THE EXISTING FRAMING. IF ANY DEFICIENCIES ARE FOUND IN THE EXISTING HOST STRUCTURE,
THIS ENGINEER SHALL BE NOTIFIED BEFORE CONTINUING CONSTRUCTION AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO
RE -INSPECT AND RE-EVALUATE DESIGN. NO WARRANTY, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, IS CONTAINED HEREIN.
SINCE IT IS NOT PRUDENT TO PERFORM DESTRUCTIVE TESTING AT THIS TIME, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY
DURING CONSTRUCTION THAT THE SUBSTRATE IS OF THE TYPE AND CONSTRUCRON THAT IS IN CONFORMANCE
WITH THE INTENT OF THE PRODUCT APPROVAL BEING UTILIZED WHICH MUST BE SOUND FOR INSTALLATION OF
THIS SYSTEM AND SHALL NOTIFY THIS ENGINEER IF ANY DEFICIENCIES OR ABNORMALITIES ARE OBSERVED. USE
OF THIS DOCUMENT CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS.
4. SYSTEMS SHALL BE AS NOTED HEREIN. ALL REFERENCES TO EXTRUSIONS & INSTALLATION SHALL CONFORM TO
THAT OF MANUFACTURER'S SPECIFICATIONS AS SUMMARIZED HEREIN.
S. ANY JUNCTURE OF EXTERIOR PLASTER AND FENESTRATION PRODUCTS SHALL BE SEALED WITH A SEALANT
COMPLYING WITH AAMA 800 AND ASTM C 920 CLASS 25 GRADE NS OR GREATER FOR PROPER JOINT EXPANSION
AND CONTRACTION, AND ASTM C1281 OR AAMA 812 FOR THE TYPE OF SEALANT TO BE SELECTED WHICH IS
OUTSIDE THE SCOPE OF THIS CERTIFICATION.
6. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO INSULATE ALL MEMBERS FROM DISSIMILAR MATERIALS TO PREVENT
ELECTROLYSIS.
7. ALL CONCRETE SHALL BE UNCRACKED ONLY WITH A MINIMUM COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF 3000 PSI U.N.O. AND
SHALL BE MINIMUM 1.SX THICKER THAN ANY MEMBER EMBEDMENT. ALL EPDXY AND GROUT SHALL MEET OR
EXCEED COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF THE CONCRETE AND SHALL BE IRON -FREE, NON -SHRINK AND
NON -REACTIVE.
8. FOR ALUMINUM ATTACHMENTS ALL ANCHORS SHALL BE SPACED WITH 2xDIAMETER END DISTANCE AND
2.SxDIAMETER MIN SPACING TO ADJACENT ANCHORS, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
9. ALL FASTENERS TO BE #12 X 3/4" OR GREATER 2024-T4, 18-8 SERIES 300 NON-MAGNETIC STAINLESS STEEL, OR
CADMIUM PLATED OR OTHERWISE CORROSION RESISTANT MATERIAL AND SHALL COMPLY WITH 1.3.1,
SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALUM. STRUCTURES -SECTION 1, THE ALUMINUM ASSOCIATION,INC., & APPLICABLE
FEDERAL,STATE, AND LOCAL CODES.
10. DIMENSIONS ARE SHOWN TO ILLUSTRATE DESIGN FORCES AND OTHER DESIGN CRITERIA. THEY MAY VARY
SLIGHTLY, TO THE EXTENT THAT THE OPENING AREA IS NOT SMALLER THAN 5% OF THE ENGINEERED DESIGN.
CONTRACTOR IS TO VERIFY ALL FIELD DIMENSIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
11. ENGINEER SEAL AFFIXED HERETO VALIDATES STRUCTURAL DESIGN AS SHOWN ONLY. USE OF THIS
SPECIFICATION BY CONTRACTOR, et. al. INDEMNIFIES & SAVES HARMLESS THIS ENGINEER FOR ALL COST &
DAMAGES INCLUDING LEGAL FEES & APPELLATE FEES RESULTING FROM MATERIAL FABRICATION, SYSTEM
ERECTION, & CONSTRUCTION PRACTICES BEYOND THAT WHICH IS CALLED FOR BY LOCAL, STATE, & FEDERAL
CODES & FROM DEVIATIONS OF THIS PLAN.
12. ENGINEERING EXPRESS HAS NOT VISITED THIS JOBSITE. INFORMATION CONTAINED HEREIN IS BASED ON
CONTRACTOR SUPPLIED DATA AND MEASUREMENTS. ENGINEERING EXPRESS SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE
OR LIABLE IN ANY WAY FOR ERRONEOUS OR INACCURATE DATA OR MEASUREMENTS. WORK SHALL BE FIELD
VERIFIED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. ENGINEERING EXPRESS SHALL BE NOTIFIED AND GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY
TO REEVALUATE OUR WORK UPON DISCOVERY OF ANY INACCURATE INFORMATION PRIOR TO MODIFICATION OF
