Dear Sir:
Please see attached detail for how to tie down the 250 gallon horizontal tank to
an existing slab at the referenced site. The following are general notes
concerning the attached drawing.
1. Prior to installing the earth augers, check for underground utilities.
2. Earth auger and cables shown are designed to resist a 160 m.p.h. wind
load, Exposure C.
3. Earth augers type and length is dependent of Soil Class. For this site soil
is assumed as Class 4 Soil. If the onsite soils are not Class 4, engineer is
to be notified.
4. Tank cables should be periodically reviewed to ensure they are
structurally sound and tight.
5. Earth auger shall have a tested minimum pull out value of 3000 lbs.
6. Spacing and location of tanks is dependent on local codes and are the
responsibility of the persons obtaining the permit.
