Steel Column Mark/Shop Drawings
Dear Mr. Manero,
SCANNED
BY
St. Lucie County
It has been brought to our attention that several steel column marks annotated on our structural
drawings do not match the steel columns that have been approved in the `Structural Steel Shop
Package' issued by I-MM Steel Corp and approved by our office on 05/29/18. The approved steel
shop drawings supersede the latest structural drawings.
The discrepancy occurs on gridline 11 of sheets S 104 & S 105, which illustrates an alternating
Column Type #1 & Column Type #2 pattern. This entire gridline should only annotate Column
Type #1, as illustrated in the approved shop drawing. In addition the column located at gridline
intersection R13 of S104 & S105 should also be a Column Type #1.
Thank you for your attention to the matter.

Dear Erik:
This is to confirm that, at the present time, FPL has sufficient capacity to provide electric service to the above
captioned property. This service will be furnished in accordance with applicable rates, rules and regulations.
Preliminary analysis of your request has indicated that a line extension will be required and will most likely

To: Port Saint Lucie Department of Buildings,
Frank Relf Architect has been working with Advantage Self Storage to design and provide
drawings for their latest facility located on 605 Kitterman Rd. in Port St. Lucie FL. We
originally filed our permit set (permit number 1712-0019) back in November, and are now
resubmitting our revised drawings as required to address several comments related to our
scope of work. Outlined below is a written narrative as to which sheets have been revised,
and how each corresponding comment was resolved.
Building Department Comments
Comment: The square footage on the plot plan on T-000.00 for building D is incorrect.
Response: The plot plan on T-000 has been revised to show the correct square footage.
Sheet T-001, drawing index, has also been revised as needed.
Comment: Occupant load is wrong. All buildings must be included in occupant count for
plumbing fixture requirements per section 403.1 Florida Building Code 2014
Response: A-010, Revised occupancy calculations and plumbing fixture count as needed to
comply with section 403.1 of the 2014 Florida Building Code. Floor plans have been revised
accordingly to show (2) additional H.C. Toilet rooms on sheet A-103.
Comment: Design professional is to provide a code section as to the elimination of the
occupant count for building D as stated on plan sheet A-020.00
Response: A-020, Building D has no interior corridors or occupied space, as it is made up
entirely of drive up storage units that are accessible from the exterior only. The floor plan
has been added to sheet A-020 and the calculations for S-1 occupancy (1 per 500sf) have
been added as needed.
Comment: The note (4) on A-080.00 ASCE7-94 is not a reference standard in the current
FBC for windows.
Response: Revised note 4 on sheet A-080 as required.
Comment: Product affidavits submitted are incorrect and or incomplete. Must be the St
Lucie County Product Review Affidavits completely filled out including all fastener type,
spacing, size and embed, then signed, sealed and dated by the design professional of record.
Three signed and sealed copies are required.
Response: Product affidavit has been revised accordingly, as well as signed and sealed as
required.

Commene Submit (3) St. Lucie County product review affidavits signed, sealed and dated in
original format. Sheet A-320.00 and A-321.00 spec overhead doors by Janus and product
affidavits spec DBCI 690 series doors. Be sure that these affidavits coincide with all plan

Comment: The design pressure tables calculated by engineer must coincide with pressures
on the product affidavits. Carlisle roof covering pressure is too low for actual pressures.
Res onse See Carlisle product approvals provided and revised St Lucie County affidavit.
We will be using (2) different approved attachment methods (SC-77 & SC-84) by Carlisle at
building C. Areas that require greater pressures will utilized system SC-84. All items fisted on

pressure tables. Roof product approval systems have also been reviewed, byBryntesen for
submittal to the city. Once approved by the city, all product approvals for fenestration and
roofing systems will receive shop; stamp approval by Bryntesen prior to construction.
Comment: Sheet A-106.00 shows different outside dimensions and shows the building to be

Re: Tierra South Florida Project No. 7111-16-0202 dated August 8, 2016
Dear Mr. Sommer:
GFA International, Inc. (GFA) has completed testing services during the site preparation phase for
the above referenced project. A review of GFA's field density test report indicates the soils placed
as fill within the building pad achieved a minimum of 95 percent of the maximum dry density as
determined by the modified Proctor test (ASTM D1557).
Based on the test results, the soils have been prepared in general accordance with the
recommendations presented in the referenced Tierra South Florida report dated August 8, 2016.
The soils upon which the referenced structure will rest are capable of providing a safe bearing
capacity of 3,000 psf.
We appreciate the opportunity to be of service to you during this project. Please contact the
undersigned if you have any questions or comments, or if we may further assist you.
Respectfully Submitted,
