ITEM #1 GARAGE SHEAR WALL
:+r
Provide one layer of 15/32" minimum plywood sheathing under gypsum drywall to garage side of 2" x 4" wood
stud framing. Shearwall panels shall be installed as follows:
1. Panels shall be installed with face grain parallel to studs.
2. All horizontal joints shall occur over framing and shall be attached with 8d nails 6" o.c. (double row)
around the edges and 12" o.c. for intermediate framing. Flatwise blocking shall be used at all
horizontal panel joints.
3. Panels shall be attached to bottom plates and top member of the double top plate. Lowest plate shall be
attached to foundation with bolts or connectors of sufficient capacity to resist the uplift forces
developed in the plywood sheathed walls.
Provide one GFI outlet in the sidewall at each lavatory in the Master Bath.

Provide a 8" x 40" concrete beam between concrete columns at the pool deck- Reinforce the beam with 247 bars
top and bottom and 245 bars intermediate, centered equidistant between top and bottom steel. #3 stirrups are not
required for this section of beam.
