As the Engineer who signed and sealed the Structural Plans for Publix Store #0855, 1
was called to provide a solution to the field issue regarding the compaction
requirements at the above -referenced project.
In lieu of the slab cut compaction requirements stated in General Note 5 on sheet
S01.01, it is acceptable for the Contractor to have a material testing agency visually
inspect the compaction performed and provide a signed and sealed letter stating that
the compaction is adequate for the proposed construction.

further questions or concerns.
