Complete set of revised plans included to address review comments
Comment 1) No slab connection and/or penetrations are being made or
altered. All existing drain locations are sufficient and will not be
relocated. WEDI shower pan and tub deck are elevated and
secured to slab via modified thin set as per manufacture
instructions which have been included for clarification.
Comment 2) WEDI waterproof shower system instruction and ICC evaluation
report included. Also an additional drawing has been included
for clarification.
Comment 3) Through knowledge gained from previous renovations in this
building there is no shaft adjacent to tub. The tub drain
immediately penetrates the floor slab below the tub and is
encased in solid concrete. This .will not be disturbed as the new
tub drain will tie into the existing above the slab.
There is a solid concrete sheer wall adjacent to the tub which
separates the two living spaces and acts as a firewall.
No penetrations are being made to this wall.
Located behind the toilet is a 6" cast iron stack pipe which
penetrates the slab above and below. This also is encased in
concrete and will not be disturbed. Clarification of these items
has been added to drawings.
Comment 4) Notes have been added to all drawings stating work shall be in
compliance with the 2017 FBC 6th Edition.
