Dear M[r. Tipton:
Please accept this letter in response to your written request received October 10, 2018 to waive
the finished floor elevation of 18" above the crown of the road. The waiver request is for 2
additions to existing commercial buildings at 3000 Industrial Ave 3, Fort Pierce. I

Pursuant to Section 7.04.01(C-3) of the St Lucie County Land Development Code, the Planning
and Development Services Director has the authority to grant administrative relief, when
topographical conditions are such that compliance with this subsection would be impracticable
or cause grade level conditions detrimental to adjacent or nearby property, consistent with the
intent of the Flood Protection regulations and any other applicable portion of this Code.
The Planning and Development Services Director has granted your request for administrative
relief of the finished floor elevation based on the following determinations;
I The proposed additions are in Flood zone X.
2 The elevation of the center line of adjacent road is 18.7' NAVD (average).
3 The finished floor elevation of the existing main building is 19.47' and the secondary
building is 19.64'
4 The Proposed finished floor will match the existing buildings and will be 0.77' and 0.94'
above the center line of the road.
5 Raising the proposed finished floor 18" wil[ be impracticable since the floor has to be flush
with the existing building.
This approval does not in any way constitute authorization to begin construction. Prior to the
commencement of any construction on this property, an application for specific building permit
must be obtained from this department.

Ken — I had to change the cutfall pipe to match the construction plans (12" RCP to 12' x 18" ERCP). That's the only revision. I am delivering today to Lydia, six
sealed copies of the latest site plan, as described above for her use.

Thank you for your diligent work in meeting SLC required Stormwater management for the added structures. Please note
that the minimum pipe culvert size per SLC for Stormwat ' er structures is 15" dia. or equivalent. Revise accordingly.
