Progress: Units 500 & 502 balcony deck excavated with reinforcing in plaf-p�F,;

Arrived on site, as requested by the contractor to observe the following:
1. Units 500 & 502 balcony excavation complete. The east, north, and south sides of the balcony
have been excavated to expose the ends of two layers of approximately X inch diameter welded
wire fabric reinforcing. Repair of balcony nosing edge per detail #t3 sheet S2.0. (See Photographs
1&2). Placement of the forms can be installed for the edge repair pour.
2. Supplemental reinforcing has been added at 24" o/c per plan.
3. SIKA Armatek 110 Epo-Cem has been added to the existing and new reinforcing. Install second
coat Armatek 110 prior final pour.
4. Zinc anodes are in place at 2 feet o/c per plan. (6) anodes are to be in the repair. 2 anodes were
loose and need to be reinstalled for proper connection. (See Photographs 3)
5. Isolate Base of Aluminum hand rails prior to pouring concrete as previously noted.
6. OK to pour concrete per plan and specifications after anode installation.
7. Consolidate plastic concrete at timeof placement by mechanical means.
8. Units 500 & 502 balcony mid deck of the balcony needs to excavated to expose the ends ofawo
layers of approximately % inch diameter welded wire fabric -reinforcing. (See Photographs 4).

Arrived on site, as requested by the contractor to observe the following:
1. Unit 612 balcony excavation complete. The east, north, and south sides of the balcony have
been excavated to expose the ends of two layers of approx. Y4 inch diameter welded wire
fabric reinforcing.
2. Supplemental reinforcing has been added at 24" o/c per plan with (2) #5 continuous edge
bars
3. SIKA Armatek 110 Epo-Cem has been added to the existing and new reinforcing.
4. Observed work is acceptable. See plan for placement of zinc anodes.
5. Coat base of aluminum handrail posts with Sikadur 32 prior to pouring repair mortar.
6. OK to pour repair mortar per plan and specifications after anode installation.
