Dear Mr. Peterson:
The Avalon Beach PLID dune walkover for community beach access is located in a Coastal
High Hazard Area and is not structurally connected to any other structures. The access ramp
wiil be located at elevations less than base flood elevation (VIE elevation 14.0 NAVD).
The dune walkover has been designed in accordance with Sections 9.2.2 and Section 4.8 of
ASCE 24-14.
We offer the following certification:
The dune walkover will not transfer flood loads to any other structures and will be constructed to
break away cleanly during design flood conditions, will be frangible, and will not produce debris
capable of causing significant damage to any nearby structures.
