This set of trusses has been designed for the effects of wind loads in accordance with ASCE 7 — 05, 140 mph, Exposure C. Category IV (lw = 1.15), Enclosed, with a mean roof height of 37 feet. 2: Note 2.2.6 of the structural drawings appears to state that a minimum roof dead load of 7 psf is to be used when combined with wind. The total dead load on assumed in this package for this structure is 20 psf. A factor of .6 is used in this package when combining with wind, resulting in 20 x .7 =14 psf. To account for the requirement of lowering the dead load in the wind combination by an additional 7 psf, we have instead increased the basic wind speed from 140 mph to 145 mph'. 3. For the trusses in this package we have made the assumption that the truss to structure and truss to truss connections do not need to resist the truss reactions that are due to load combinations which include component and cladding wind loads. Instead, since the truss to structure connections and truss to truss connections are not directly connected to the sheathing, they are designed for the truss reactions resulting from the load combinations which include Main Windforce wind loads.
