SIGNIFICANT ARCHAEOLOGICAL OR HISTORIC FINDINGS: None Identified Permit #20190527 authorizes the following: According to St. Lucie County Land Development Regulations (Chapter 6.00.04) this project qualifies for a Vegetation Removal Permit. The following vegetation has been identified for removal: 1. One (1) live oak measuring ten (10) in. DBH; 2. One (1) oleander shrub; r 3. One (1) volunteer sable palm measuring ten (10) ft.; 4. Category I invasice plants, carrotwood and Brazilian pepper. Conditions of Issuance: The following minimum standards for vegetation protection shall be applied to areas of vegetation designated to be preserved (Land Development Code Section 6.00.05.C). A barriershall be placed and maintained around the tree's perimeter to form a continuous boundary as specified below. • Vegetation protection barricades shall be placed at a minimum distance of either ten (10) feet from the edge of groups of protected vegetation or from the radius of the dripline from all protected trees, whichever is greater; in the event that a full 10-foot buffer cannot be provided, the applicant shall provide the maximum buffer feasible; • Protective barriers or protective designations shall remain in place until completion of site construction and clearing activities; • In the event that any protective barriers are removed or altered and clearing activities are conducted within an area identified for preservation, SLC ERD is authorized to direct that all land clearing and site alteration work at the site be stopped until the barriers are restored and any necessary corrective actions taken to repair or replant any vegetation removed or damaged as a result of these encroachments;. • Preservation areas shall be maintained in their natural -state, so as not to alter the water and oxygen content-of.the.soil and impair its function;, _ • No grade ch'anges`or°ezcavationlof anyi"sort"may be made within the barricaded areas; • No signs, permits,4 wires I or otlie_d attachments shall be affixed or- attached, to l protected vegetation; and � - _•��- �''� • No equipment; including passengervehicles shah.%be_driven, parked, or stored orrepairedwithin designated I a r 4 vegetation pres4rviafioni areas., y PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ANY NATIVE VEGETATION DESTROYED OR DAMAGED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES OR FILL PLACEMENT SHALL BE MITIGATED AT A RATIO OF 4:1 (4INCHES OF REPLANT ING•FOR EACH INCH DESTROYED OR DAMAGED). i-Iti`. 'x I-'• = -r ` Post Clearing Requirements: _ 1. Mitigation: Mitigation for the live oak (previous landscape requirement) will be met with a replanted oak tree. Mitigation for the impacted volunteer Saba[ palm will be met via onsite preservation. 2. Landscaping: A landscape plan prepared by, Paul Welch Inc., was provided and found to be consistent with the intent with Land Development 7.09.03 and 7.09.04. Prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy, landscaping shall be installed.
