CURBS RAISED A MINIMUM OF 8 INCHES ABOVE THE ROOF SURFACE, OR WHERE ROOFING MATERIALS
EXTEND BENEATH THE UNIT, ON RAISED EQUIPMENT SUPPORTS PROVIDING A MINIMUM CLEARANCE

STANDARD FOR THE INSTALLATION OF AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATING SYSTEMS. SMOKE
DETECTORS LISTED FOR USE IN AIR DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS SHALL BE LOCATED DOWNSTREAM OF THE
AIR FILTERS AND AHEAD OF ANY BRANCH CONNECTIONS IN AIR SUPPLY SYSTEMS HAVING THE
CAPACITY GREATER THAN 2000 CUFT/MIN.
RESPONSE: An additional smoke detector is now shown in RTU-2 (RTU-1 is not over 2,000 CFM) and
Note B in the Mechanical Notes has been modified to require this. Please refer to the HVAC roof plan
on sheet M-2 and the Mechanical Notes on sheet M-1

2. Life safety plan- please provide the travel distance from the most remote point. This appears to in the
office, verify on drawings. (A] 107.2.3)

**BATHROOM DOOR MANEUVERING CLEARANCE- 12" REQUIRED FOR PUSH SIDE ON A DOOR WITH
ACLOSER.**
RESPONSE: Per FPC 2017 403.2, Exception 3: "Separate facilities shall not be required in mercantile
occupancies in which the maximum occupant load is 100 or fewer". In compliance with this exception,
both restrooms have been designated as unisex. One of the existing restrooms has been modified for
full compliance with the current accessibility code, including the door approaches. Please see CS-3.
4. PLEASE PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE RESTROOMS. (FBC, E 1006.1)
