The completed concrete restoration did not reduce the structural integrity of the remaining existing
structural systems and, therefore,,a requirement to upgrade them by this permit was not warranted.
Existing building's components and elements outside the renovation area of this permit do not have their
current wind load resistant capacity or gravity load capacity compromised by the completed concrete.

Mathers Engineering Corporation performed onsite inspections as the job progressed. Repairs did not
require shoring.
As the demolition exposed areas of exterior concrete deterioration and steel corrosion of the exterior.

Materials used and work performed to date has been substantially completed in conformance with the
specifications outlined in the IRCI Guideline No. 03730, as well as the applicable 2017 Florida Building
Codes 6' Edition (and updates), other industry guidelines, or standard engineering practices.

Background:
The removal and restoration of deteriorated concrete and steel within beams, columns, decks and
adjacent walls will comply with the IRCI Guideline No. 03730 (a copy of which is attached hereto)
or as modified by Engineer as work progresses.
The anticipated work involves the initial demolition, and then the removal, replacement and
restoration of concrete and reinforcement as required. The degree of restoration is currently
unknown, until such time as the initial demolition has begun.
The anticipated sequence of repairs is as follows:
• Shoring required for repairs of all columns, beams and decks (if required by engineer)
• Removal and restoration of concrete and reinforcement steel within beams, columns and
decks. (ICRI Guideline No. 03730)
• Minor chipping and patching of areas not requiring full depth repairs.
o Applied deck coating.
