This document is to certify, that to the best of my knowledge, belief and professional judgment, based
on my personal inspection and analysis of the subject project, the field conditions are as follows:
1. The recent renovation work performed includes the renovation of an existing shower pan and
replacement of the trim and valve in both bathrooms.
2. It also includes the replacement of the drain trap, and patching the concrete floor penetration.
3. The project's construction of these items satisfies all of the requirements of the 2017 Florida
Building and Plumbing Code, all of which are depicted in the attached plans:
Methodology used is as follows:
1. Field inspection was conducted, portions of shower pan and walls were exposed to view
shower pan attachment to wall, and durock attachment to studs.
2. Percussion testing of shower pan area around the concrete patch was performed to ascertain
the rigidness of the concrete patch. Field photographs of reinforcement and plywood form are
included as evidence of the installation, attached.
3. Plumbing flow was verified by removing the toilet, flushing water on the shower and witnessing
flow on the sewer under the toilet. Trap operation was measured by removing drain trim and
measuring depth of standing water in the pipe at 2 inches.
4. Shower trim water pressure and flow were verified by hot and cold valves simultaneously. Flow
and pressure was sufficient and there were no leaks. Shower trim is model Breklyn 82611SRN
manufactured by Moen, with a pressure balancing, heat regulating valve design.
