The uplift capacity of VSR panels with clips spaced at 2'-6" on center is 106 psf. Since the VSR panel is 16" wide, the approximate uplift force each VSR clip can resist on this project before failure is 350 lbs. To Whom It May Concern: December 3, 2019 Butler Manufacturing has tested and approved for gravity loads to be applied to the VSR panel system and transferred through the VSR panel clip. The load needs to be applied to an S5 clamp attached to the panel ribs. In order to avoid bending of the panel rib, it is best if the S5 clamp is directly above the VSR clip, but the clamp may be located on the panel ribs up to 6" away from the panel clip. The load capacity for this condition is 525 lbs. of gravity load at each panel clip location. If you have any questions, please contact me 816-968-3613.
