2. RES-2013-127 - Resolution approving the Petition to Expand Mosquito Control District
Boundaries to add Riverland/Kennedy II, LLC and Kennedy/Riverland LLP Parcels
The Assistant County Attorney provided background on the request for the specified
property owners to add their property to the district. They own and operate
together 3857 acres for citrus groves in Port St. Lucie. She explained the process
and advised the Board that staff recommends that they waive the referendum
requirement.

Commissioner Dzadovsky questioned if there would be any additional cost to cover
the area.
The Mosquito Control Director responded that currently there are no homes on the
property. He explained that they control aquatic weeds in that area and stated that
they don’t expect there to be any issue of insufficient funds to manage that area.
