COMMENTS
Commissioner Dzadovsky spoke about an email he sent to Administration and staff members
regarding the availability of QEC bonds which are now becoming available through the State of
Florida Energy Program and could save the County money. The program provides lower interest
rates on Bonds to those who lower their energy consumption by a certain percentage by
replacing florescent lighting within county buildings with LED energy efficient type
bulbs/fixtures. St. Lucie County falls into "Large County Pocket" which qualifies it for funding of
$1.1M which could be made available for energy opportunities. He stated it was somewhat like
a performance bond and is an interesting opportunity to look into that would perhaps help us
lower the cost of energy, lower our bills and save the tax payers money at the same time.
There being no further business to be brought before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
