Follow-ups:
Violation:
SLC CCL 10-26: Prohibited activities.
Sub Section: (9) Commit any willful, fraudulent act as a contractor as
a result of which another is financially injured.
SLC CCL 10-67: Revocation or suspension of certificates of
competency.
Sub Section: (3) Willfully disregards and violates an applicable state
or local building code, regulation or law.

Sub Section: (9) Signs a statement with respect to a project or
contract which falsely indicates that the work is bonded, falsely
indicates that payment has been made for all subcontracted work,
labor, and/or materials which results in a financial loss to the owner,
purchaser or another contractor, or falsely indicates that workers'
compensation and/or public liability insurance are maintained.
Sub Section: (10) Commits fraud or deceit or other misconduct in the
practice of contracting.
Staff
Recommendation:
To revoke the certificate of competency and permitting privileges
(new permits only) for Michael Miranda/ dba/ Group One
Construction and Development Inc. for three hundred and sixty-five
(365) days. A copy of the Board’s order will be forwarded to the
Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR)
and the surrounding municipalities. Staff is also requesting that after
the revocation period, Mr. Miranda must request to be reinstated
before the Contractor’s Licensing Board.
