St. Lucie County Planning & Zoning Commission minutes for the meeting of Thursday, October 18, 2018 RESULT: ACCEPTED [UNANIMOUS] MOVER: Robert Lowe, At-Large Board Member SECONDER: Craig Mundt, Board Member AYES: O'Dell, Lounds, Mundt, Smith, Mitchell, Hopkins, Lowe, Taylor ABSENT: James Clasby 3. PUBLIC COMMENT Commissioner Townsend thanked the Commission and staff for their services. 4. PRESENTATIONS A. There are no scheduled items. 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS A. PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES 1. Grav, Inc. Rezoning from the I (Institutional) Zoning District to the CG (Commercial General) Zoning District Kris McCrain, Associate Planner stated this petition is for a request for a change in zoning from the I (Institutional) Zoning District to the CG (Commercial General) Zoning District to allow development of the subject property with uses compatible within the Commercial General Zoning District. The subject parcel consists of 1.85 acres located on Clematis Avenue, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981, approximately 220 feet south of Virginia, on the southwest corner of Clematis Avenue and 39th Street. The subject property is surrounded by CG Zoning to the north, east, and west and RM-5 (Residential, Multi- Family -5 du/ac Zoning District to the south. Staff determined that this petition is consistent with goals, objectives and policies of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and conforms to the standards of review as set forth in Section 11. John Yudin, 55 SE Ocean Blvd., Stuart FL, the applicant's agent answered questions from the commission. There was a brief discussion.
