The Treasure Coast Council of Local Government (TCCLG) meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month
at 10:00AM (unless otherwise indicated) in the St. Lucie County Roger Poitras Administration Annex Third Floor
Conference Room 3, 2300 Virginia Avenue, Fort Pierce, FL. Any person who decides to appeal any decision made with
respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a
verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal

CALL TO ORDER
Chair Goodbread called the meeting to order at 10:12 AM.
INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mr. Watford led the invocation and Vice Chairman Goodbread led The Pledge of Allegiance.
INTRODUCTIONS
Self-introduction by Board members and guests.
CHAIRMAN’S COMMENTS
Vice Chairman Goodbread welcomed everyone. He spoke briefly on the Data Center issue and
the upcoming Constitutional Amendment on Property Tax Reform.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Goodbread called for a motion to accept the Meeting Minutes from May 2026. Mr. Foley
made a motion to approve; Mr. Docherty seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT
Mr. Watford gave the Treasurers report for May 2026. asked for a motion to accept the
Treasurer’s Report. A motion was made by Mr. Pickett and seconded by Mr. Tidikis. Motion
passed unanimously.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Chair Goodbread introduced Dylan Tedders, Okeechobee School Superintendent. Mr. Tedders
made a presentation on the state of the Okeechobee School District. He mentioned the new
logo and tag line for the district. He also spoke on the improvements overall, including the
results of the assessment, He also spoke on the new Okeechobee High School and thanked
Rep. Tuck and Sen. Grall for the state-funding to complete the project.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
Chair Goodbread introduced Ken Krasnow from Cushman & Wakefield, who spoke on Data
Centers, what they are, why they are needed and impacts on the communities. He referred to a
report that was recently released addressing Managed Growth, the AI Bubble, Texas becoming
the new Virginia, Reuseable energy going to be clean energy and community opposition.
LEGISLATIVE MATTERS
There was a brief discussion on Property Tax Reform. Mr. Goodbread said there will be a lot of
discussion in the coming weeks and months as things move forward through the summer. There
has been a suit filed by a law firm and the results of the suit may impact the ballot item. Tax
Reform will also be highlighted at the Association of Counties’ upcoming conference and Florida
League of Cities will be heavily involved during the coming months, as well.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
a. Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities/Florida League of Cities (TCRLC & FLC)
Ms. Christensen reminded members of the Annual Conference in August. The notification for
registering will go out in a week.
b. Florida Associations of Counties (FAC)
Associate of Counties Conference is later in June.
c. Florida School Boards Association (FSBA)
Ms. Hawley mentioned the Florida School Board Association will be meeting in a week.
d. Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council
Stephanie Heidt reported on the Resiliency Webinars that are scheduled. More information
is on TCRPC website. She also mentioned the 50th Anniversary celebration in August.

ADJOURNMENT
There was no further business to come before the Joint meeting of the Treasure Coast Council of
Local Governments and the Treasure Coast Regional League of Cities. Chairman Goodbread
adjourned the meeting at 11:45 AM for lunch.
