THE PURPOSE OF THIS LETTER IS TO CERTIFY THE PROPOSED RE -ROOF MATERIAL
PRODUCTS AND PROCESS PLANNED FOR THE ROOF -OVER PROJECT AT THE ABOVE

SCOPE:
This NOA is being issued under the applicable rules and regulations governing the use of construction
materials. The documentation submitted has been reviewed by the BCCO and accepted by the Building
Code and Product Review Committee to be used in Miami Dade County and other areas where allowed
by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
This NOA shall not be valid after the expiration date stated below. The Miami -Dade County Product
Control Division (In Miami Dade County) and/or the AHJ (in areas other than Miami Dade County)
reserve the right to have this product or material tested for quality assurance purposes. If this product or
material fails to perform in the accepted manner, the manufacturer will incur the expense of such testing
and the AHJ may immediately revoke, modify, or suspend the use of such product or material within
their jurisdiction. BORA reserves the right to revoke this acceptance, if it is determined by Miami -Dade
County Product Control Division that this product or material fails to meet the requirements of the
applicable building code.
This product is approved as described herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building
Code and the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code,
DESCRIPTION: Fe1Tex® High Performance Roof Wrap
LABELING: Each unit shall bear a permanent label with the manufacturer's name or logo, city, state
and following statement: "Miami -Dade County Product Control Approved", unless otherwise noted
herein.
RENEWAL of this NOA shall be considered after a renewal application has been filed and there has
been no change in the applicable building code negatively affecting the performance of this product.
TERMINATION of this NOA will occur after the expiration date or if there has been a revision or
change in the materials, use, and/or manufacture of the product or process. Misuse of this NOA as an
endorsement of any product, for sales, advertising or any other purposes shall automatically terminate
this NOA. Failure to comply with any section of this NOA shall be cause for germination and removal of
NOA.
ADVERTISEMENT: The NOA number preceded by the words Miami -Dade County, Florida, and
followed by the expiration date may be displayed in advertising literature. I' any portion of the NOA is
displayed, then it shall be done in its entirety.
INSPECTION: A copy of this entire NOA shall be provided to the user by tl.e manufacturer or its
distributors and shall be available for inspection at the job site at the request of the Building Official.
This NOA consists of pages 1 through 3.

SCOPE:
This acceptance is for FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap. This product is approved as described
herein, and has been designed to comply with the Florida Building Code and the High Velocity
Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

FelTex® High 48" x 250' rolls ASTM D 226- Synthetic Polymer base sheet with UV
Performance Roof 48" x 100' rolls Type II and stable low -slip backing.
Wrap ASTM D 2626-04
LIMITATIONS:
1. Fire classification is not part of this acceptance; refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials
Directory for fire ratings of this product.
2. This acceptance is for prepared roofing applications. Minimum deck requirements shall be in
compliance with applicable building code,
3. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall not be hot mopped; refer to manufacturer's
published literature for product compatibility.
INSTALLATION:
1. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall be installed in strict compliance with applicable
Building Code.
2. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall be applied to a smooth, clean and dry roof deck.
The roof shall be free of irregularities.
3. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall be installed with a minimum 4-inch head lap in a
shingle fashion.
4. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall be fastened with corrosion resistant tin -caps and
approved roofing nails spaced 6 inches o.c. minimum at all laps and three staggered rows
fastened at 12 inches o.c. minimum in the field of the roll. Nails shall be driven flush and 90
degrees to the roof deck.
5. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap shall be fastened with some looseness, notably in valley
applications.
6. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap is a component used in roof assemblies. Roof
assemblies are approved under specific assembly Notice of Acceptance.
7. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap may be used with Asphalt shingles, Wood shakes and
shingles, Non-structural metal roofing, and quarry slate. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap
shall not be used as roof tile underlayment.

8. FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap may be used with any appro, ed roof covering Notice of
Acceptance listing FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap as a component part of an assembly
in the Notice of Acceptance. If FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap is not listed; a request
may be made to the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or the Miami -Dade County Product
Control Department for approval provided that appropriate documentation is provided to detail
compatibility of the products, wind uplift resistance, and fire testing results.
9. For fire classification of specific roof assemblies using FelTex® High Performance Roof Wrap
refer to a current Approved Roofing Materials Directory for fire ratings of this product.
LABELING:
All membranes shall bear the imprint or identifiable marking of the manufacturer's name or logo, or
following statement: "Miami -Dade county Product Control-A-p-p-ro-v--e-d-o-r-th-e-tvitamT--Urade-togu-.-
BUILDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS
Application for building permit shall be accompanied by copies of the following:
1. This Notice of Acceptance.
2. Any other documents required by the Building Official or applicable building code in order to
properly evaluate the installation of this material.
