Dear Mr. Recor:
This is in follow up to the April lOth joint meeting between the Board of County
Commissioners, Fort Pierce City Commission and St. Lucie County School District. Our
respective Boards discussed the idea of a joint funding arrangement for urban design
team services to review developments within the annexation area ofthe City and County.
City staff agreed to draft the Request-For-Proposal and provide an opportunity for input
from County staff. Rather than going out for urban design team services, I understand
the City is now considering having these services provided through its urban design staff.
I would like to meet with you and members of your staff to further discuss the direction
of the City on pursuing the urban design team services. Afterwards, we would present an
update to the County Commission for their direction and hope to have this matter in a
final form for presentation at our next joint meeting scheduled for July 13, 2006. Brenda
Marlin of our staff will contact your office to coordinate this meeting for mid-June.
