Ernie Cox, Mike Adams and Bob Carr, Archaeologist 20 briefed the commission and public on the Rural Historical Landscape of 21 Adams Ranch. 22 23 The tour was an insightful and pleasurable experience for all. 24 Item 2. Presentation of the Cultural Heritage Credits Assessment for the 25 Adams Ranch Stewardship Sending Area (SSA). 26 27 28 Ernie Cox of, Family Land Remembers gave a brief over view of the Rural 29 Land Stewardship Sending Area and Cultural Policy 2.6 in the St. Lucie 30 County Comprehensive Plan.He also addressed the concept of the Sending 31 and Receiving Area process independent of the Receiving Area. 32 33 Mr. Carr spoke to the commission about Adams Ranch Rural Historic 34 Landscape. 35 36 Mr. Bud Adams, Jr. spoke about the historical history of Adams Ranch. 37 Ms. Harrell stated that the Commission was here 38 today on the Stewardship Sending Area application by Adams 39 Ranch, Inc., Alto “Bud” Adams, Jr. and ARCCO of St. Lucie 40 41 42 Specifically, we are here on the request for cultural heritage 43 2 of 4 incentive credits for 11,891 acres pursuant to section 1 4.05.07.6.4.1 of the adopted Land Development Code and 2 Policy 2.6 of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan. 3 4 With those words said; Ms. Harrell Motioned to recommend to 5 The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners to approve 6 .5 stewardship credits per acre, for the Adams Ranch 7 Stewardship Sending Area of 11,891 acres, for a total of 8 5,945 cultural heritage credits. This motion is based on 9 information received at the public meeting held on March 17, 10 2008, and on the Adams Ranch Stewardship Program Historical 11 Analysis and Report from 2007. 12 13 14 Mr. Harrington recused himself, stating he would not be voting because of 15 work he had done (or continues to do) with Adams Ranch. 16 Mr. McAfoos Seconed. 17 Motion approved unanimously. 18 19 Item 3 B: Application for Changes to Historical Structures or Sites. 20 21 1. Edenlawn Plantation- Appeal to Board of Adjustment Scheduled 22 for March 26, 2008, 9:30A.M., County Commission Chambers. 23 24 25 26 Mr. Jones asked that any Commission Member, who could attend this meeting, 27 please do. 28 Item 3 C: Request for Historical Designation for the William Robinson 29 House located at 4995 South Indian River Drive. 30 31 32 33 Mr. Jones told the commission he was working on the Designation Report for 34 the William Robinson House.
